Lisa Caplan Vice President, Business Information Officer, Kaiser Permanente |
Lisa Caplan was named vice president and business information officer for KP-IT's Care Delivery portfolio in May 2008. Lisa is accountable for an annual budget of over $100M spanning core and investment activities.
Lisa's application portfolio encompasses our enterprise electronic health record (KP HealthConnect), medical imaging, laboratory, radiology, population care, health information exchange, biomedical device integration and clinical decision support capabilities. She also has responsibility for compliance, architecture, information management, governance, and vendor management related to national care delivery applications. Lisa also serves as co-chair of the Continuous Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Data Center Strategy sub-committee, as well as serves on numerous other steering and sponsor groups.
Lisa joined Kaiser Permanente in February 2006. She led KP's Collaborative Build and Business Services team which was responsible for collaborative build maintenance, new release/new product analysis/implementation and other product support across E. She was named vice president of the National KP HealthConnect Business Program in January 2008.
Lisa has more than 20 years experience working in health care organizations, software development companies, and global consulting firms. Her experience includes managing large-scale application implementations and leading product development teams for financial, clinical, customer service, and decision support systems.
Lisa was a former senior executive at both Accenture and Deloitte Consulting Prior to that, she managed product lines for two national health information system vendors.
Lisa earned a bachelor's of science degree in Health Information Administration from Loma Linda University. She received a Master's in Health Services and Health Information Systems from the University of California, Los Angeles.
