A seasoned Health Plan Executive, Mr. Berardo has been the CEO and President of MagnaCare since June of 2005. In this capacity, he is responsible for the Strategic Management and Financial Performance of MagnaCare's business operations. Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Berardo served as the Vice President, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer when he joined MagnaCare in January of 2003. He started his career in healthcare management with U.S. Healthcare where he served in various Sales and Management positions. Subsequently, he has held Senior Leadership positions with the Mt. Sinai Health System, Empire Blue Cross/ Blue Shield, Multiplan and Special Risk International. Recognized by Crain's New York Business magazine in January 2000 as one of the Top 40 Executives in New York under the age of 40 (40 under 40). Mr. Berardo is a Graduate of Rutgers University with a BA in Economics. He is an active member of several industry organizations including SIIA, NAHU, and IFEBP. He is also a Board member of the New Jersey Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
