Andrea Galgay

Andrea serves as Director of Practice Innovation within the Provider Relations division at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island. In her role, Andrea plays an integral role in formulating the plan's Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) strategy, including the development of its PCMH design and roll out to primary care practices. In addition to overseeing transformation efforts pertaining to PCMH, Andrea's team is also involved in promoting the ‘meaningful use' of Electronic Health Records through the development of programs which provide support, both financially and in kind.
Andrea received her Bachelor's degree from Providence College and MBA from Bryant University. In addition to working at BCBSRI, Andrea also serves as a Special Lecturer at Providence College. Andrea is a lifelong Rhode Islander and resides there with her husband and two daughters.
