The Kaiser Family Foundation on Health Reform: Preparing Today for Tomorrow

Wednesday, April 29, 2009

1:00 PM - 2:15 PM ET

Sponsored By:

In 2007, 45 million individuals in the United States were uninsured and the number continues to rise. Not having health insurance limits people’s ability to access care, which often results in worsening health outcomes.

The Kaiser Family Foundation, a non-profit, private operating foundation focusing on the major health care issues facing the U.S., authored a reference guide, "Approaches to Covering the Uninsured", that summarizes the key strategies for expanding coverage to the nation's 45 million people without health insurance and explains how policy options can be combined to form comprehensive reform proposals.

During our April Webinar, Tanya Schwartz, a Policy Analyst for the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured and co-author of the guide will present these myriad strategies and highlight those that have gained the most popularity. Mary Franz, COO at Connecture, will share the steps Connecture's customers have taken to build a solid and flexible platform that not only drives member growth and retention today, but will carry Connecture's customers through the next generation of health insurance.
