About our Speakers
Ms. Killoran is Chief Compliance officer for Aurora Health Care, the largest integrated health system in Eastern Wisconsin with 13 acute care hospitals, 1400 employed physicians, 29,000 employees and over $4 billion in annual revenue. She is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining compliance and audit programs, policies, and procedures that promote a corporate culture that fosters ethical and compliant behavior and provides the basis for ensuring adequate internal controls and compliance with all laws and regulatory requirements applicable to Aurora and all divisions, subsidiaries, and affiliates. Additionally, Ms. Killoran is responsible for system privacy practices and policies as well as management of the Corporate Compliance Department. Ms. Killoran is a graduate of Harvard Law School and a member of the Health Care Compliance and American Health Lawyers Associations.
Judith A. Waltz is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is co-chair of the Life Sciences Industry Team, and former vice chair of the Health Care Industry Team. She is also a member of the White Collar Defense and Corporate Compliance & Enforcement Practices, Life Sciences Industry Team and former co-chair of the Health Care Payments/Compliance Practice. Ms. Waltz is a frequent speaker and writer on health care compliance issues, including payment suspensions, health care bankruptcies, and potential issues of personal liability for owners of entities who are the focus of government scrutiny. She has been an instructor at the HCCA Compliance Academy, and has been a regular contributor to Drug Benefits Trends Magazine, with several articles on topics of drug pricing. She has been named to the 2007 list of Outstanding Healthcare Fraud and Compliance Lawyers published by Nightingale's Healthcare News. She was also ranked as one of the top health care attorneys in the nation in 2009 by Chambers USA.
